Newborns

Bring your own insurance information, any hospital records, and a diaper bag with diapers, a change of clothes, and formula if you're not breastfeeding. Let the receptionist know you have a newborn so we can seat you in our newborn waiting area, away from other children.

The 30-day insurance rule

Your baby is covered under your insurance for the first thirty days only. Enroll your baby with your carrier as soon as possible. If you miss that window, your child will have no coverage under your policy.

Transferring from another office

Bring copies of your child's medical records, especially vaccinations, and your current insurance card. The receptionist can copy records into your chart while you wait.
