Mental health, in your pediatric home

Child & Adolescent Psychiatry on the Upper East Side

Psychiatric evaluations and medication management from a Triple Board-trained psychiatrist who's also a pediatrician.

Two people holding hands in comfort

Mental health is just as important as physical health, which is why Uptown Pediatrics has a child and adolescent psychiatrist in-house on the Upper East Side. Dr. Divya Hoon trained in Mount Sinai's Triple Board Program (pediatrics, general psychiatry, and child & adolescent psychiatry), where she served as Chief Resident. That combination means she understands how medical illness and mental health affect each other.

Dr. Hoon provides psychiatric evaluations for diagnosis and medication management, and supports new mothers experiencing postpartum depression and anxiety. She works closely with your child's therapist, pediatrician, and school team.

Questions about child & adolescent psychiatry

Do you offer therapy or neuropsychological testing?

Not at this time. We focus on psychiatric evaluation and medication management, and we're happy to connect you with trusted therapists and testing providers in the community.

Can follow-up visits be virtual?

Yes, after an in-person intake, telehealth follow-ups are available for patients located in New York State. Dr. Hoon is licensed in New York, so she can't see patients virtually while they're out of state.

How long is the intake?

For children, at least two one-hour visits. For adults, such as postpartum mothers, at least one one-hour visit.
