Pediatric Endocrinology on the Upper East Side

Two Mount Sinai-trained pediatric endocrinologists for growth, thyroid, puberty, and weight concerns, in the same office as your pediatrician.

Most families wait months for a pediatric endocrinology appointment at a hospital. At Uptown Pediatrics, Dr. Michelle Klein and Dr. Vickie Wu both completed pediatric endocrinology fellowships at Mount Sinai and see patients right here on the Upper East Side. They work closely with your child’s pediatrician to evaluate concerns, explain what’s going on, and develop thoughtful, individualized treatment plans with your family.

Both doctors have extensive clinical expertise in pediatric endocrinology, have published articles in the field, and are members of several professional pediatric endocrinology societies.

Dr. Klein’s areas of expertise include growth, thyroid disease, children born small for gestational age, and pubertal development. She is also the recipient of the Arnold Gold Humanism in Medicine Teaching Award.

Dr. Wu’s areas of expertise include growth, precocious puberty, thyroid disease, and obesity. She is committed to helping children and families navigate these concerns with personalized, evidence-based care.

Questions about pediatric endocrinology

Do I need a referral to see your pediatric endocrinologists?

Current patients can simply ask their pediatrician. If your insurance requires a referral for specialty visits, call us at 212-427-0540 and we'll help you sort it out.

How do I prepare for a growth hormone stimulation test?

Nothing to eat or drink after midnight, bring the two medications called in to your pharmacy, a snack for afterward, and something to keep your child busy. Our growth hormone test page has the full checklist.
