Birth through adolescence
Pediatric Primary Care on the Upper East Side
Checkups, vaccines, and same-day sick visits with pediatricians who get to know your family for years.

For more than thirty years, families on the Upper East Side have trusted Uptown Pediatrics with everyday care, from the first newborn visit to the last college physical. Every one of our full-time physicians is a faculty member at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine, so your child gets a small-practice relationship backed by academic medicine.
You'll see the same doctor at every checkup, and most of the time for sick visits too. We guarantee a same-day appointment for any sick child whose parent calls in the morning, we run walk-in sick hours every weekday, and we never turn away our patients: if the schedule is full, we make room. After hours, one of our own doctors is on call 24/7.
We practice careful, evidence-based medicine. That means no antibiotics a child doesn't need, the American Academy of Pediatrics vaccine schedule, and real conversations so we can make decisions with you.
What we offer
Well-child checkups
Growth, development, and anticipatory guidance at every age, following the AAP schedule.

Ear piercing
Dr. Cerasoli pierces ears right here in the office, in a clean medical setting. Call to schedule.
Lactation support
Our own Nurse Mesi is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) who provides personalized breastfeeding support to help new parents and babies get off to a good start.
Onsite lab and rapid testing
Our nurses can draw blood and perform in-house complete blood counts, along with rapid tests for strep, flu, COVID, and RSV. Most rapid test results are available in minutes, so we can get answers and make a plan without sending you elsewhere.
Questions about primary care
What ages do you see?
We care for children from birth through adolescence. Ask us about care for young adults.
Can I walk in if my child is sick?
Yes. Walk-in sick visits run Monday through Friday, 9:30 am to 3 pm, with no appointment needed. If those times don't work, call or send a portal message and we'll schedule a same-day visit.
How far ahead should I book a checkup?
Book routine well visits four to eight weeks ahead. Schedule yearly physicals in your child's birthday month to avoid the May, June, August, and September school and camp rush.
Do you pierce ears?
Yes. Dr. Cerasoli does ear piercing in the office. Call 212-427-0540 to schedule, and read our guide to caring for newly pierced ears.
